Prostate Cancer Awareness Starts with Getting a Screening Test

Gregor works to develop a better screening test for Prostate Cancer, allowing more men to pursue screening.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness month, and where we stand in 2021, not enough men are getting screened for Prostate Cancer. According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), nearly 250,000 men will get diagnosed with prostate cancer this year, and 34,000 will die from prostate cancer. The men that die from Prostate Cancer this year, could have had a different outcome if they got screened with a better tool. As we see it now, they got diagnosed too late. We have to do better- Gregor is working on that day and night.

ACS launched a 'Get Screened' campaign in 2021 aiming to increase cancer screening rates by raising awareness about the importance of recommended screenings and getting people back on track with their regular screening tests. 2020 was hard on everyone, and it was especially hard on those that delayed their screenings.

Gregor hopes to change the quality availability of screening, because screening saves lives.
